Brandon students participate in ‘Rock Our World’

     Many times the connotation rock your world can be interpreted many different ways and in Brandon, its a good thing as a music teacher is using music to individualized instruction. This story, which appears in the Oakland Press is showing how music can engage students.

Every Friday, fourth and sixth grade students in Michael Medvinsky’s music classes in the Brandon School District receive a piece of music from another school in the United States, or another country and they send a piece out.

With every piece of music, the students at Brandon schools add an element to it using Apple’s GarageBand, and then send it to the next school. The video link is below. vv
