Teachers of the Arts and Digital Arts have Professional Opportunities

Film and TV Events

If you’re a film/video educator or industry professional, we encourage you to become a member of DAFT (Digital Arts Film and Television), the sponsors of the 45th annual Michigan Student Film and Video Festival at the DIA in April. Students, Teachers and/or your School can get a membership that qualifies members for workshops and entries for the festival.
George Haddad, the owner of Pro Cam in Livonia, is hosting an Educator Appreciation Night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with refreshments, workshops and student discounts.
"Status of Michigan Incentives"

MPA will present a discussion and analysis of Michigan's Current incentive/grant program. As of October 1 a one time capped allocation of $50 million has been made available for the program plus $8 million which rolled over from the previous fiscal year. The total of $58 million dollars is seen as a booster for Michigan's film industry. Michigan's recently appointed MFO commissioner will attend as well as a representative from MEDC and a certified production auditor.
Admission MPA members always free - non members $7 at the door $5 paid in advance. This event sponsored by AICP
